Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers joined the NFL in 1976 as the league's 27th franchise. The team has used the name Tampa Bay Buccaneers throughout its entire history.
The Buccaneers have won 2 Super Bowl Championships, after the 2002 and 2020 seasons. Tampa Bay captured its first Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl XXXVII, defeating the Oakland Raiders 48-21. The Buccaneers won their second title in Super Bowl LV, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 and becoming the first team to win a Super Bowl in its own home stadium.
The franchise has been home to legendary players including Lee Roy Selmon, Doug Williams, Mike Alstott, Derrick Brooks, Warren Sapp, John Lynch, Ronde Barber and Tom Brady, along with many other players who helped shape different eras of Buccaneers football.
