Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys began play in 1960 as an expansion franchise and have proudly carried the Dallas Cowboys name throughout their history. From their difficult early years to becoming one of the most recognizable sports franchises in the world, the Cowboys have built a tradition closely associated with championship football, legendary players, and an enormous national following.

The Cowboys have won five Super Bowl Championships, defeating the Miami Dolphins in Super Bowl VI after the 1971 season, the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XII after the 1977 season, and the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowls XXVII and XXVIII after the 1992 and 1993 seasons. Dallas captured its fifth and most recent Super Bowl in Super Bowl XXX after the 1995 season. The franchise has also won numerous NFC Championships and division titles, including a remarkable run of success during the Tom Landry era and the dominant teams of the 1990s.

Dallas history is filled with legendary players. Roger Staubach and Bob Lilly became foundational stars of the championship teams of the 1970s, while Tony Dorsett, Randy White, Mel Renfro, Cliff Harris and Harvey Martin helped define that great era. The Cowboys' 1990s dynasty was led by Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin, supported by stars such as Larry Allen, Charles Haley and Darren Woodson. Later generations produced unforgettable players including DeMarcus Ware, Jason Witten and many more.

Unlike many NFL teams, the Cowboys have never officially retired a jersey number. Instead, the organization has traditionally reserved its most legendary numbers for only the most deserving players. Numbers associated with icons such as #8 Roger Staubach, #12 Roger Staubach's era, #22 Emmitt Smith, #33 Tony Dorsett, #74 Bob Lilly, #88 Michael Irvin and other Cowboys legends carry enormous historical significance, even though they are not officially retired. The Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor provides another way for the franchise to permanently recognize its greatest players, coaches and contributors.

Our Dallas Cowboys jerseys are not limited to the biggest stars. You can find jerseys representing championship legends, Hall of Famers, modern stars, fan favorites, and much more obscure players from throughout the franchise's history.
