New York Jets
The New York Jets are a historic NFL franchise whose story began in 1960 as the New York Titans, one of the original teams of the American Football League. In 1963, the franchise was renamed the New York Jets, a name it has used ever since.
The Jets have won 1 world championship, capturing the 1968 AFL Championship before defeating the Baltimore Colts 16-7 in Super Bowl III. Led by legendary quarterback Joe Namath, the Jets became the first AFL team to win the AFL-NFL World Championship Game.
The franchise has been home to legendary players including Joe Namath, Don Maynard, Winston Hill, Gerry Philbin, Curtis Martin, Joe Klecko, Mark Gastineau, Wesley Walker, Wayne Chrebet, Nick Mangold and many others from every era of Jets football.
