New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints were founded in 1967 and have used the Saints name throughout their entire history. The franchise has remained in New Orleans and has built a proud tradition around generations of memorable players and teams.
The Saints have won 1 Super Bowl Championship, capturing Super Bowl XLIV after the 2009 season. Led by quarterback Drew Brees and head coach Sean Payton, New Orleans defeated the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 to win the first championship in franchise history. Brees was named Super Bowl MVP.
The franchise has been home to legendary players including Archie Manning, Rickey Jackson, Willie Roaf, Morten Andersen, Sam Mills, Pat Swilling, Eric Martin, Marques Colston, Drew Brees and many others from every era of Saints football.

Jim Taylor became the first Saints player to have his number retired, while Doug Atkins was the second. Both are part of the franchise's early history and remain honored among the greatest players to wear the Saints uniform.
The Saints also honor legendary players and contributors through the Saints Ring of Honor, including Archie Manning, Rickey Jackson, Willie Roaf, Morten Andersen, Sam Mills, Will Smith, Jahri Evans and owner Tom Benson. Drew Brees is scheduled to become the ninth member when he is inducted on October 11, 2026.
